Jobs
According to the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, Maryland gained 4,700 jobs in June. This is 3,200 more jobs added than in June of 2022 (1,500).
Unemployment
The unemployment rate last month decreased 0.4 points to 2%. This is the fifth consecutive month of record-setting low unemployment for Maryland. Compared to June 2022, a year ago, the unemployment rate has dropped 2 points.
