VP of Accounting Apply Now

The VP of Accounting and Finance will actively manage all aspects of accounting and finance for one of Maryland’s finest organizations. This person will report directly to the CEO and will be pivotal in executing the accounting and finance operations, in addition to advising on other operational areas such as purchasing and fleet management. and strategy for the organization.

This is an ideal opportunity for a proven hands-on leader who is looking for a role that has a blend of accounting and operational responsibilities. The role initially will require being in the office daily but can evolve into a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting and finance functions, provide recommendations concerning business processes, strategy, financial goals and systems to support growth of the company and improve accounting and financial performance
Prepare reports for the CEO, leadership team and Board
Improve processes and documentation, drive change as necessary, and elevate the level of reporting for the company
Manage, mentor, train and develop the accounting and finance team
Consult with and manage relationships with tax and audit and other vendors

Qualifications:

Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Must have at least 10 years of progressive professional growth in the accounting/finance field, with senior level accounting and finance management experience
Ideally will have experience advising executive teams on areas including insurance, purchasing, and lease or fleet negotiations.
